# The Document Object

# 📄 File Upload API

This API allows **Members** to upload files. These files serve two primary purposes:

1. As **proof of performed ID Verification checks** on the Ultimate Beneficial Owner(s) (UBOs) of a Business that is onboarding with Fiat Republic (FR) to become a Linked Business.
2. As **required documentation for Businesses and End Users** to enable them for USD-related services.

Members can upload these files directly via an API request or through the Payments Dashboard using one of the following locations:

* **Administration → File Management**
* **End Users → \[End User Details] → Documents Tab → Upload New File**
* **Businesses → \[Business Details] → Documents Tab → Upload New File**

> **⚠️ Important: Identity Report**
>
> The `IDENTITY_VERIFICATION` document contains the output from an identity verification check. Please be aware that this report can be generated by various providers.
>
> While **Sumsub** is a common source, the report could also originate from other services such as **Persona**, **Onfido**, or another provider chosen by the Member.

## Upload Restrictions

**Supported formats:**

* `JSON`, `JPEG`, `PDF`, `PNG`
* `MP3`, `M4A`

**Maximum file size:**

* `30 MB` for standard documents and images
* `70 MB` for audio files (`MP3`, `M4A`)

## Document Object

## Supported Document Types

When classifying a document via the `type` attribute, use one of the following exact enum values based on the document's purpose:

### Identity & Verification

* `PASSPORT` - Valid international or domestic passport.
* `IDENTITY_VERIFICATION` - Standard proof of identity report.
* `IDENTITY_DOCUMENT_FRONT` - Front side of a National ID, Driver's License, or Residence Permit.
* `IDENTITY_DOCUMENT_BACK` - Back side of a National ID, Driver's License, or Residence Permit.
* `LIVENESS_CHECK` - Selfie photos, videos, or ID+handwritten note.

### Address & Financial Proofs

* `PROOF_OF_ADDRESS` - Utility bills, bank statements, or government letters.
* `SOURCE_OF_FUNDS` - Payslips, loan agreements, or specific bank statements.
* `SOURCE_OF_WEALTH` - Tax returns, audited financials, or investment portfolios.
* `OCCUPATION_PROOF` - Employment contracts or employer letters.
* `PROOF_OF_ACCOUNT_OWNERSHIP` - Official bank letters, voided cheques, or IBAN documents.

### Corporate & Business (KYB)

* `CERTIFICATE_OF_INCORPORATION` - Official company registration certificate.
* `ARTICLES_OF_ASSOCIATION` - Full corporate bylaws or memorandum.
* `STRUCTURE_CHART` - Organizational chart diagrams or flowcharts.
* `DIRECTORS_REGISTER` - Official registry extract or signed register.
* `SHAREHOLDERS_REGISTER` - Shareholder log or certificate.
* `AUTHORISED_REPRESENTATIVES` - Board resolution or corporate mandate.
* `POWER_OF_ATTORNEY` - Notarized or certified POA document.
* `UBO_CORPORATE_DOC` - UBO declarations, trust deeds, or UBO passports.

### Compliance & Monitoring

* `SCREENING_REPORT` - KYC exports (e.g., Persona, ComplyAdvantage).
* `CRYPTO_SCREENING_REPORT` - Blockchain analysis reports (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs).
* `IP_DEVICE_CONNECT_LOG` - Raw session data logs.
* `LICENSE_EVIDENCE` - Regulatory licenses or registrations (e.g., FCA, CySEC).
* `AML_POLICY` - Official Anti-Money Laundering manual.
* `COMMUNICATION_WITH_CLIENT` - Chat logs, emails, or support tickets.
* `OTHER` - Any document that does not fit the categories above.
